Welcome to Alpena Figure Skating Club

AFSC Purpose

The Alpena Figure Skating Club is a nonprofit organization promoting the sport of figure skating. Its existence can be traced back to the 1930’s. The club encourages the instruction, practice, and advancement of our members in free style, moves in the field, synchronized skating and dance. We also have basic skill classes that are the building blocks for figure skating. Our club has group lessons for skaters of all levels on Monday 6:00 – 8:50 and Thursday from 6:00 p.m. – 8:50 p.m. October to March. Our membership includes toddlers to adults.

AFSC is affiliated with the U.S. Figure Skating Association, which is the national governing body of eligible figure skating in the United States. The USFS sets the standards and rules under which all member clubs operate.
